I planned on sharing some lovely photos of a finished Hourglass Sweater, but I've run into some blocking problems.

After blocking, the sweater is now huge, and I'm very depressed about it.

Instead, please enjoy some selections from the New York Botanical Garden's Orchid Show, which opened yesterday. Lovely, aren't they?

Beautiful orchid photos! How too bad about the blocking! Can you block again and not block as much? I took so long to knit my Minimalist Cardi, that I lost 15 lbs during the process, so I used back stitching to do the seams (and carefully pressed them to flatten them a little). That does create a seam allowance, but also can take in some excess material.
